FAQ

Frequently asked questions about meal vouchers

Who is entitled to meal vouchers?

Anyone whose employment contract provides for meal vouchers: employees, student jobs, paid interns, remote workers and employees with special status. Volunteers, who are not bound by an employment contract, are not entitled.

How do you order Monizze meal vouchers?

Two options: ask your payroll provider to place the order with Monizze, or order yourself through your Monizze client area. Not a client yet? Open your account in minutes on our website.

Can I grant myself meal vouchers as a self-employed person?

Yes, since 2007, self-employed company directors (with a company) can grant themselves meal vouchers. The number must match the days actually worked. If you employ staff, your vouchers cannot exceed the value of those of your employees. Note: self-employed individuals without a company are not entitled.

Do full-time and part-time workers receive the same number?

Meal vouchers are granted based on the number of days or hours worked. A part-time worker will logically receive fewer vouchers than a full-time colleague. The value per voucher can differ by status, provided the distinction is objective.

What is the maximum value of a meal voucher in 2026?

Since January 1, 2026, the maximum value is € 10 per working day (previously € 8). The employer share can go up to € 8.91 and the employee personal share is at least € 1.09. The deductible employer portion remains € 2 per voucher.
